NOTE: Before we get into the scary formality of warranty language, please know that we stand behind our work. If you feel there is a defect in your Sculptural Glass Door, just call us. We will do our best to work with you to resolve the situation to your satisfaction, and will help guide you through the claims process if need be.

Limited One Year Warranty

Sculptural Glass Doors warrants each stile and rail door for a period of one year from the date of shipment. Sculptural Glass Doors warrants that, at the time of shipment, each door is of good quality material and workmanship and free from defects that would render the door unserviceable or unfit for ordinary recommended use.
This warranty applies to doors properly sealed, finished and hung in a location protected from exposure to direct sun or rain under normal conditions.

Characteristics Excluded from these Warranties
The following are not defects in workmanship or material and are not covered by this written warranty:

1. Natural variations in the wood grain, color, or texture of the door.
2. For doors 3′ x 7′ or smaller: warp not exceeding one-quarter inch (1/4″) in the plane of the door itself. Claims due to warp may be deferred for up to 12 months from the date of the claim in order to allow for conditioning and equalizing to humidity and temperature conditions.
3. Defects caused by failure to properly seal the door. All 4 edges and both faces must be sealed immediately after fitting and hanging.
4. Damage caused by attempts to alter or repair the door by persons other than Sculptural Glass Doors or its approved representatives.
5. Defects caused by improper hanging or improper installation of the door.
6. Damage caused by improper handling or improper on-site storage. (see Care and Maintenance)
7. The performance or appearance of finishes is not covered

Glass Standards:

We are making hand crafted cast glass items, so some irregularities are just part of the process. In fact, from the point of view of conventional glass standards, the whole sheet of glass is an irregularity. Still, we have adopted the following widely used standards:

Under certain lighting conditions, and from certain viewing angles, formed and tempered glass may exhibit a strain pattern or iridescent color, which is not normally visible. This is a characteristic of tempered and heat-formed glass and is not a defect.

Scratches: When viewed from a distance of 10 feet (3m), visible scratches longer than 3″ (75 mm) shall not be allowed within the normal viewing area.

Sculptural Glass Doors insulated glass units are warranted for a period of 5 years from ship date against failure of the hermetic seal directly attributed to defective manufacturing, when such failure results in permanent obstruction of vision through the panel.

Limitations and Exclusions

The limit of Sculptural Glass Doors’ liability shall be resupply of a non-defective product, or refund of the purchase price and no liability exists except where damage is the result of defective materials.

This warranty shall be void and Sculptural Glass Doors shall have no liability hereunder if the purchaser installs, treats or retains, for more than thirty (30) days, a door containing an obvious defect, without giving the required notice, or if the purchaser fails to give the required notice within a reasonable time after discovery of a latent defect.

There are no express warranties which extend beyond the foregoing and any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the same duration of the written warranty (one year from date of shipment by Sculptural Glass Doors).

Sculptural Glass Doors shall not be liable for consequential, indirect or incidental damages, or for any amount in excess of the purchase price of the warranted door, whether the claim is for breach of warranty or negligence.

Sculptural Glass Doors extends its Limited One-Year Warranty only to the persons or companies to whom it has sold its doors, or to the original owners of the structure into which our doors are installed.

Doors shipped outside of the continental United States or Canada are not warranted.

How to Make a Claim

All visible defects must be reported before door or doors are originally installed. Immediately upon discovering that the door is defective or fails to conform to this written warranty, the purchaser shall send a notice in writing to: Sculptural Glass Doors Inc., P.O. Box 29226, Bellingham, WA 98228. Claims must detail the date of purchase, the nature of the problem, the location of the door, and the name, address and telephone number of the person making the claim. Sculptural Glass Doors reserves the right, and must be given at least a thirty day opportunity, to have any door which is the subject of a warranty claim field inspected by a representative of Sculptural Glass Doors.
In the event that a Sculptural Glass Doors stile and rail door fails to conform to this warranty, Sculptural Glass Doors will, at its option, either (1) repair the door; or (2) ship a replacement door of the same specifications as the original door. If Sculptural Glass Doors is unable to replace the door and if repair is not commercially practicable, Sculptural Glass Doors may (3) reimburse the purchase price of the defective door.

For replacement or reimbursement, the defective door must first be returned for credit. The replacement door will not be shipped until the defective product has been received by the manufacturer. To save time, the customer has the option to pay for the new door in advance, and when we receive the defective door, the customer will be credited for the purchase price of the returned door. Sculptural Glass Doors shall not pay for the cost of labor, installation or finishing of the replacement or original product or for any other cost relating to the replacement of the product, all of which shall be the sole responsibility of the person making the warranty claim.

The entire process from finding my unique and wonderful door to each and every transaction with Bill restored my faith in people that care about a quality product and customer care and not just a quick sale.

We have received MANY compliments on the door. My husband says we built our addition around the front door! Thank you for producing something that is not only beautiful but very high quality.
